Aptos Protocol Details

Aptos is a Byzantine-Fault-Tolerant (BFT), Proof-of-Stake (PoS), monolithic layer-one blockchain built for upgradability, safety, and performance. It was founded by former Diem engineers and scientists to develop 'aLayer 1 for everyone'.

Since the network only launched recently (October 17th), many details still have to be published by the Apots Labs team. We will update this page accordingly. In the meantime, check out our blog post to get up to speed on all things Aptos.

FAQs

What is the incentive to stake my APT?

keyboard_arrow_down

Once you have staked your APT, you are contributing to the network's security. In return, you will receive rewards in the form of newly minted APT. Conversely, if you do not participate in staking, your assets will get diluted over time.

Do I maintain control of my APT when staking them?

keyboard_arrow_down

The validator you delegate your tokens to is not able to access your funds at any point in time since you are only delegating your staking rights. At no point in time, we have control over your APT or your private key.
